  1. Maybe grew up as one? but he gave us the GIUY fist pump on the pitch when announced before a derby. think it went "Born in Dunfermline, grew up in Dunfermline, Played for Dunfermline but a Rovers legend David Sinclair" - He turned to us and gestured, I laughed tbf.
  2. Will be no ball boys tonight apparently according to a post on pie and bovril
  3. Thats the fans representative on the board gone now and so has the SLO
  4. Just came on to post the very same. Very surprised after what McDermid said a few weeks ago.
  5. I kinda want him to go. I hope he goes and enjoys life with his family without the hassle of it all. He doesn't deserve the pish that's been hurled his way.
  6. https://www.footballscotland.co.uk/spfl/scottish-championship/john-hughes-jokes-efe-ambrose-22809340
  7. I'm fine with that tbh, its about time we got in other teams faces. If we start doing that when crowds are back hopefully the fans will get behind the team and give us more of an edge. Sitting back and waiting for us to be dicked isn't working so we might as well try it. If it doesnt work it doesn't work
  8. Fon Williams McDonald, Donaldson, New CB (hopefully, if not breen), Martin Dow, Dorrans Lawless Wighton Todorov McCann Was chatting to a mate last night and I think we are of the opinion it's time to by pass the midfield and **** it long up the park in the hope it works😂
  9. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere most part time managers have a clause in their contracts that if a full time club comes for them they can go(maybe a set compo fee included). I would have had Petrie or Dick tbh but it didnt materialise.
  10. Although I posted it i'm largely the same, it's all lip service(same with pre match). I was interested to see if he would have a meltdown like he did at Rovers though. The only thing you really need to see is performances on the pitch, which arn't great.
  11. Managers post Morton | Dunfermline Athletic Football Club (dafc.co.uk) Yogis post match interview, went for the positive rather than the hanging out to dry. Hopes its a catalyst for the players that we are in a dog fight.......not entirely sure why it would wait until now.
  12. I don't think there is a lack of effort or fight. I see a bunch of young lads out their depth, a yard behind professionals in terms physicality and football brains and demoralised. The midfield that includes Pybus, Allan and Tod isn't offering much defensively or going forward they are just sort of there. They arn't imposing themselves( and were bullied today losing every header and were a yard off every second ball), they arn't finding space and they arn't playing any quality balls forward. Dows been poor except for the Killie away game that was abandoned. The fullback don't have enough quality to get forward in games and can be beaten defensively. The CB pairing today was a shambles although the pair of them never playing together or having game time for months coming into a team being dominated was always going to be an uphill struggle, but the main worry was the amount of flick ons and knock downs from balls into our box Morton managed to get. Egwu just leaning into Donaldson to make him score the OG, WTF??? I don't think McCann is quite there yet as a starter every week I asked a mate during the boxing day game which players he would keep and he said 4 or 5 names, I am struggling to think who would be deserving of a contract next year. Maybe some of the young lads as squad fillers but not first team picks and hope they progress or maybe Lawless, Donaldson Martin after I see how they get on. 2 players I kinda thought I would keep in Connolly and the Lithuanian have left so now the squad is even worse. Looking at the bench we have wighton, todorov, cole, o'hara, all experienced players. What are they not doing in training that's not even letting yogi give them a shot in a team really struggling playing a bunch of youngsters??????
  13. Looks at the terms of the "bailout" for football compared to rugby in Scotland. Its pretty obvious who the government favours.
  14. During the days in the build up to games I get semi optimistic....then the team sheet rolls out at around 2pm and I realise how gash we are. I genuinely don't know if any of those players would be a regular nailed on starter for many of the teams in this league.
  15. A 3rd place finish, 2 Cup finals and a semi final isn't a bad record tbf. Seems like a knee jerk reaction for a team in 7th.
  16. I did ask this question directly to RM recently at an event at EEP as I has concerns. I asked him in the reception area when I first turned up which saved me asking in a room full of people. He said in terms of ongoing costs the money we save from the fifes elite academy as well as the cost of renting training facilities will cover it. I said I was concerned we might end up with a white elephant of an asset which we can't afford however Ross was confident that running costs were fine and it was all about gaining the asset with the investment from the GMBH guys. I put him on the spot and he answered pretty well.
  17. Correct Btw cheers for the updates @Buffy and @Piracy since I couldn't make it
  18. I thought we were owning the site and developing it. Seems strange we might be developing someone else's land to lose the asset after a while. Maybe get clarity on that in the next few weeks.
  19. To clarify they have leased the grounds so don't own it? Any idea how long the lease is for?
  20. Aye they definitely don't have the fanbase to go full time in any way so a PT team punching above their weight in the championship is the best they can really ever get I also hate the maroon machine nickname that's cropped up in recent years.
  21. I have a season ticket along with my pars one and tend to head there if the pars arnt at home/and not getting bevied on our supporters bus. I have a family connection with them and supportered them since I was a bairn. My dad even did the plumbing on the (then new) changing rooms between jobs. I still take an interest in checking on a few of the old fife junior teams like Oakley and the haws to see how they are doing on the pyramid too. It's not really a derby for us though, there's no history to it. A neutral supporter asked a friend of mine why everyone was so friendly at the cowden v kelty game recently and has mixed sections of fans. They also probably all drink in the same pubs and went to school together as well. I don't really expect pars fans really to give a toss either way about kelty tbh.
