  1. There's a good angle on pars social media of them celebrating Thomas's goal
  2. Depends on the tone. Could have been joking around.
  3. I think @Buffy has a point tbh. Grant tried publically flogging players in the dressing room and it didn't work. Hughes did the same at rovers while they were in a similar position to where we are now and it didn't work. There does seem to be allot of negativity around the place(understandably). From that interview he might bring a bit more personality to the club and a bit of humour around the dressing room I suppose. Tbh though my gut is this isn't the right appointment but let's see how he gets on.
  4. Why would an Englisman with no previous links to the club before taking the job leave to go nearer his family back to his home country's league where he played his whole career and is cited as the best and richest league in the world over staying with them and going to Dingwall. It's baffling tbh
  5. I'm fairness to Park (the chairman) although a bit of a bawheid I think he is a big rangers fan and does have their best interests at heart. But it's interesting he has tried to throw the ex chairman under the bus. The current board have taken over from 3 previous boards where at least 2 of them have set up dodgy contracts with Ashley and large consultancy bonuses for themselves and now the third and more recent one the chairman(King) has recieved 800k into his family trust just for interest. What would be worrying for rangers is if King was forced to loan that money then no financial institution who would offere better terms wants to touch them which would be a red flag in my eyes. The business model they have isn't working and its only so long directors loans and share issues (that keep devaluing existing shareholders making it less attractive long term to new investors) will stump up. O and the messiah stevie is gone, already seen comments on social that he is a "traitorous fenian *******". Horrible cunts
  6. To give some context to the recent accounts, Craig Whyte managed to buy Rangers for £1 in May 2011 on the basis of the bank having a floating charge of 18m over the club(albeit the total debts could be up to 33m dependent on what you read). The previous financial years results just announced have confirmed in just one year they have lost £23.5m, and have lost more than 100m since starting 9 years ago. Theres been allot of chat around the accounts for a number of years however what I have found interesting is Dave Kings statement last night on the accounts He came out with a statement yesterday to say that rangers had reported a loan given to them incorrectly in the accounts that it was his family trust and not money directly from him. He received 800k in interest repayments on a 5m loan (16% which is pretty high, however he does claim it is market rate and was demanded by the trustees of the trust). The loan was given by King/the trust just before he stepped down as chairman to and it may be he is trying to hide cash from the SA authorities and make some money by the way of interest payments into his family trust?. What's even more noticeable he says that it shouldn't have been reported/mentioned in the accounts/agm because the interest payments were only made last week and don't fall into last years accounts. The current board are obviously starting to make things public about large cash payments leaving Rangers on deals made before they were in charge. Covering their arses before oblivion imo
  7. Noted. This will be discussed at the lodge tonight and repercussions will be severe.
  8. GG, if you read the thread and what the post I was replying to was insinuating it's obvious we are having a bit of patter.
  9. Life is all about the laughs keyser. Just like I'm laughing at your desperation to bicker here
  10. You seem a bit upset today for some reason.
  11. A kenny miller and Lee McCulloch dream team would be funny to see the meltdowns especially from the celtic leaning contingient in our support. But there's better options out there. Merely making the point managers with less experience have been a success.
  12. More experience than Mcintyre who won this league.
  13. He grew up a rovers fan I think but tbh he's a jambo now. I don't think he gives a **** about us either way tbh. He's loaned us plenty of players in the past while at hearts. Plus I'm sure he's pals with one of our directors
  14. I would post a link but I don't really want to be posting links to other forums on here. You can find the thread easy enough if you want. I can see the point of view around baggage but it wouldn't be enough for me to rule them out.
  15. They seem like genuine posts to me. Only way to find out is if they commented on here. @GG Riva were you trolling on .net? Edit - KS sent me a pm saying "gubbed, I didn't know that thread existed". Since he shared a private conversation we had yesterday that was in jest on here I thought I would share his pm
  16. Literally a thread on .net about managers we have had associated with the old firm clubs and posters saying they want someone with no connection to either of them.
  17. I think it would be a mistake to not even approach him tbh. Maybe he has be sounded out off the record. However, there's a large number of fans that want him. I would want us to confirm he doesn't want to go full time officially so it kills the petrie chat for good otherwise folk will talk about him. Its been a distraction for ages now. You can easily say that you approached a number of candidates and he ruled himself out
  18. Aye I get it, there was some good times in there and allot of postives, mainly friendships I have formed which I wouldn't have done without the whole thing. Tbh I was on the fringes as well largely Guys like @Honk and @The Roy Barry Fan Club were much more involved and could give loads of stories about Ross that havnt been heard before
  19. Also I mind we ended up pished one night at a fundraiser in PJs and ended up flogging the bands merchandise cos they donated it to the fighting fund. **** knows how we got roped into that I also mind embarrassingly being in tears in the old inn in tears thinking the pars would die the night of the punch. With Bob marleys don't worry about a thing on in the background. First time I had cried since seeing dumbo as a bairn
  20. O aye I forgot about the punch. More of a slap tbf. It was that rubbish I seem to mind you laughing. The punch was after the banner incident and march
  21. Loads you wernt invited to obviously 🤣🤣 I mind at least 2 more you were at. 1 in fabric when the twins played their song after a fundraising event at thr carnegie Hall or the alhambra and the one after the march and the banner incident. TBF we had the latter one thinking you couldn't make it for obvious reasons then you just showed up.
  22. Not to put a dampener on all this(but I will). Every time I speak to people about this folk make out it was some sort of glory days with massive **** ups and comraderie(and that was sort of part of it) What I remember mostly was meetings at EEP most evenings trying to work out what to do and trying to organise fundraising events, surveys, dealing with the politics of a small town, supporters convention, rebranding of the lifeline, ideas forums and setting up supports councils and general meetings about the state of play and what to do next. I found the whole thing stressful and tedious and I was a tiny part to it, so **** knows how Ross felt. I mind going along to east end park to meet him and he hadnt ate all day going into meeting after meeting(my meeting was half 8 at night), so I went to aldis to get him a sandwich. Doesn't sound like a big deal but that's the sort of thing I mind more than anything. I get impression some folk would go back to those days again for the fun element. I wouldn't.
  23. I always knew we had idiots in our support tbh. Some folk are always in raging mode and you hear them all the time at games. We also seem to always have at least1 boo boy player too(there's a heap this year for obvious reasons). No manager has ever not received abuse, even Calderwood got it when we were challenging for 3rd in the SPL and Paton was getting it when we were bottom of the premiership after what he achieved. Look at the way potter was treated with someone approaching him giving him stick when he was dropping off his kids at school for example. Didn't know about the songs at Queens?
