  2. https://dafc.co.uk/story.php?t=Save_Our_Club&ID=7145 Was this the one you walked out of? if so I was in Mexico (trying to get some drug lords into the fold)
  3. Hmm maybe I'm getting confused then. I was sure it was the vine and we walked into town via garvock
  4. Gona take up a bit if fishing myself. My grandad has given me his old rods. Most of them are old wooden things but there's a couple that will be decent to use to learn.
  5. What does everyone get up to once the madness and misery of football has stopped? Do you have other hobbies you take up in the summer or do you just pine for the football to start again?
  6. Meggle said before he would be coming across to deal with the football department. So sports science, video analysis, training facilities(setting up the academy I assume) so now covid looks to be over I assume he will be doing all that stuff as well as overseeing the playing side. What the latter part means I don't know.
  7. If thats true its still irrelevant to my point.
  8. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD SOMEONE APPROACH HIM. Either it's true he wants to stay in his bank job and we get clarity for that or we actually get him which would be a good appointment especially since he knows the league
  9. It is factual to claim Grant was pish which most people thought before he came in. I'm not sure that really leads me towards your conspiracy theory being correct though. It's kinda funny you put "facts" at the end of your post tbh
  10. This lot? Revenue 21,000,000,000 Euro (2019)[1] Net income 354,000,000 euro Total assets 8,614,000,000 euro (2017)
  11. I think it's more likely it was just bad decision making around picking a manager than some grand conspiracy to get a lidl into the town. I'm open minded to hear theories as I am skeptical of the Germans but I don't see how in any way any of this makes sense. I think you are on the wind up
  12. 1.2m according to the stadium company accounts. Not sure how up to date or accurate that would be though. I can imagine the redevelopment costs would be quite high as well, when theres other land around to toun that can be bought up for houses without those costs.
  13. I'm not sure what part of my point you are disagreeing with. Ross mentioned when we open our new training base the costs we saved will cover the operational costs of the new base. I have no idea if it's true merley passing on what he said to me
  14. Infact thinking about this, I think the Germans might have spent more money buying/investing in the football club than the land for the stadium is even worth which they don't even own. And thats not even taking into account development/demolition costs to both sites I have mentioned. I'm not ruling out that we might be moved stadiums at some point in the future (it's been mentioned for about 30 odd years) but I have no idea how this plan would ever make money
  15. Apparently from the costs saved from renting parks and what we were paying into fife elite academy already. The initial cash investment was to gain the asset, the ongoing costs will be covered by what is saved by not renting places and firing money into a youth academy with the other fife clubs where we were putting the most money in. Answer from Ross when I asked him this question face to face in the club foyer. Up to you if you believe him or not. I posted that in here at the time
  16. This seems like a very complicated plan to get a Lidl into the toun. Right next a competitor with the costs of demolition and buying the stadium (which they havnt even done yet) when theres other sites in place that would be far cheaper with less hassle. I'm worried the Germans arn't as interested as before tbh more than anything. And I remain unconvinced they are going to in it for the long hall. We wil see what happens, theres not much I can do anyway
  17. BTW has it been reported anywhere that the Germans have taken a significant control in the stadium company now(still less than 50% though). I can't remember that going through but it may have slipped my mind. I knew an option had been agreed if they wanted to exercise it at some stage. https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/SC457946/filing-history
  18. For what its worth I'm also skeptical about the whole thing and have been since the start (i'm sure other people I have spoken to on here can vouch for that). However surely if the companies are on the german companies house posting their names isn't going to be liable(given it will be public information) so I'm not sure what you need to be careful about. In addition I don't think anyone has been ridiculed for being skeptical have they?
  19. Is this the thread you are talking about? You mentioned here you have concerns but I can't see anyone ridiculing you(or anyone else for being skeptical) or any detail from German documents you have seen that are making you skeptical. Is it in another thread instead?
  20. Hardly anything surprising or controversial tbf
  21. What did Colin O'brien say?
  22. You have just proven my point. Anonomous ex player says some people (un-named) might have done something at some point and not to trust said un-named people(or is it all the people in the lifeline?).No real facts. And it could cause people to think twice about putting money into the lifeline. I'm sort of over all this patter now, if folk have seen individuals doing something untoward let's just get it out there rather than this pishy cryptic nonsense it's a distraction. Like I said earlier I have tried to seek out people who were involved in the club privately(and confidentially offering to go for a pint so it's not typed in messages etc) but with no luck. All very frustrating. End of the day if people really want certain folk out of the club they really need to be coming out with something more tangible than all this.
  23. I kinda knew we would get done in one of the playoff ties. We can't break teams down and I know league 1 sides would set up defensively and try and nick a goal against championship opponents. So it's all been rather predictable unfortunately.
  24. I like most of the board members with the interactions I have had with them but I don't think we can pretend that we were unlucky this year and unfortunately everyone involved at the club is going to recieve criticism for the decisions been made. They made the right appointment with AJ at the time but after his new contract and extra budget the clubs struggled to move forward and that's 3 managers now. I think for some of the guys they have done their bit with saving the club and running it but it does need some fresh ideas and energy I think. Problem is its a small pool of people in the town that new directors would be coming from so who those people might be im not sure. I'm also not sure an entirely new board with no experience of running a club is the right idea either so finding a balance of experience and new ideas would probably be best. The germans also don't seem as enthusiastic as they once were reading between the lines, probably after the whole spitting thing and bizarre rants when they were introduced to supporters clubs/volunteers. In terms of other directors people have dropped little hints here and there(like don't put money into the lifeline as an example) as to why they need booted out the club but whenever I have tried to sit people down over a pint to get to the bottom of it all I never get anywhere. So feck knows if it's folk just being bitchy or if there is real underlying issues around the club/boardroom. I'm not really close enough to the club these days to really know but I'm finding it to be a bit of a distraction.
