  1. Btw I should have added earlier. If a name change goes to the young pars then I would expect a large portion of the money to go to the young pars. Although I would let the organisers make the decision. Its their baby at the end of the day
  2. Fair enough. I would be interested to see the outcome. I have red lines as well, maybe not as many as you but still important(which is why I put the stuff in the charter).
  3. I suppose the only way is to ask the club albeit they might not be able to go into detail on commercial deals. On your concerns in general around the list of things above you don't want changed it might be an idea to ask the club itself what its red lines are. The charter spells out some but its pretty old now and not a large list. You can maybe do it at a supporters council, through the PST or via the SLO/David Cook?
  4. It just wasnt taken into account really, but the charter can be changed at the request of the fans with the agreement of the board. Its also complicated a little by the club not owning the stadium so the board of the club might not have final say so on the name of the stadium. I assume the clubs getting the money though for this deal but I dont know the ins and outs of it.
  5. The supporters charter on the clubs website sets out as follows Heritage "As a further commitment to the supporters of our football club, Dunfermline Athletic promises to ensure that restoring and retaining of the history of our club, is one of its key principles. The owners of Dunfermline Athletic Football Club Ltd are the stewards of the football club’s heritage, and any material (tangible and intangible) in their possession which forms part of that heritage is held by the owners in moral trust for future generations and may not be sold or disposed of in any way without the prior agreement of a public meeting of both the Supporters’ and Patrons` Councils. • The name of Dunfermline Athletic Football Club will not be changed without the prior agreement of meetings of both the Supporters’ and Patrons’ Councils. • The predominantly black and white team colours of DAFC, since the year 1912, will not be changed without the prior agreement of meetings of both the Supporters’ and Patrons’ Councils. • The unique triangular badge of DAFC, designed by Colin Dymock in 1957, will not be significantly changed without the prior agreement of meetings of both the Supporters’ and Patrons` Councils." From the list I would go My view: Home strip design - NO Away strip design - Yes (within reason, its never really set anyway) Club name - NO Legends name - Yes Charlie D's name - 50/50 on this one. Jock Stein suite name - Yes, if we have something bigger in remembrance of Stein instead, which we maybe should. Kingdom suite name - YES Rosyth training ground name - YES Norrie McCathie Stand - NO Cowdenbeath End - Yes North West Stand - Yes North East Stand - Yes Main Stand - Yes Sammy the Tammy design and name - NO Young Pars name - I would speak to the folk who organise it to get their view East End Park name - Yes(providing its nothing embarrassing). I think the new name is fine. Will always be EEP to me and it will revert back I assume when the sponsorship is over?
  6. Meh not upset about it. Happy east end park stays in the name ands it not something embarrising like the tony Macaroni. Most people have been positive from what I can see.
  7. It will be weird going into the away end for the first time next week. I supported both clubs growing up and I had season tickets at both clubs in the past including last season. At least my membership at the ex servicemans club will come in handy pre match. Any news on tickets yet?
  8. We havnt been linked to any players. Which says to me there arnt many available, with agents not putting stories in the press like they do every year. I think the announcment of the reserve league has hurt us as well as has the colt clubs. Im sure everyones frustrated, im not sure why the default position is to automatically find someone to blame when it could just be circumstances. Hopefully the right players come up. Take any of these? https://www.transfermarkt.com/scottish-premiership/vertragslosespieler/wettbewerb/SC1
  9. The commitee that was there voted to make it a 10am opening so the players could train in the morning and work in the shop afterwards
  10. It was brought up at the meeting by someone who was invited that it might be best to tell the wider fan base that there was a meeting with fan groups. Ken what forums and social media is like. "Cliques, secret meetings", " seen folk going into east end, whats that all about". Theres an perception that the supporters council is cliquey even though its an open meeting everyone is invited to without vetted questions(and the people that organise it are a random mix of people) as an example. And the idea the club arnt interested in speaking to fans Just for transparency pretty much and show on top of open meetings the club is also being pro active to reach out to buses and supporters clubs/groups
  11. I was there as a rep for the heritage trust. I think from memory the pst and the disabled supporters group were represented. A couple of guys big on social media and maybe do blogs and a couple of guys from section NW. Then various supporters clubs/buses. Dont want to post names unless they want to(and im terrible with remembering names and dont want to get them wrong) but it was a broad mix of people. I think the plan will be to mix up who is there for future meetings.
  12. I was there. It went well enough. In honesty is was very similar to the type of things asked at a supporters council but it was much more relaxed and conversational. At a supporters council you can ask a question and it gets answered and thats sort of it while with this in a smaller group there can be much more back and forth so from that aspect it was more engaging. The challenge will be trying to engage with the wider support really. And Drew Main and David Cook seem to be keen to try and find ways to do that.
  13. The problem with forums and social media is people take speculation to mean fact and pass it on unfortunatly Without seeing this guy does anyone know if he be worth a marginal fee if its the case? I wonder also if its more to do with paying a fee to develop another teams player(speculation). Either way I'm not really ***ed. If he signs he signs.
  14. Good to see some announcements on this. Tbh I dont really know Shields skills or qualifications in relation to his except his stint in the US as part of a college team(?) and even less about Bill Hendry but good luck to them in their new roles.
  15. Yip its a problem. Speaking to mates who support other teams at work allot of them are having the same issues. I am wondering if our plans to loan players/get surplus squad members have been hurt by the colts and the reserve league being announced this week.
  16. Repetitive negative drivel is something we excel at as fans. Edit- And arguing about pish
  17. Will head along for a few before the game
  18. How does the Hibs result tonight leave our chances of one of the best second placed teams if we win on sat?
  19. Good on her. First tounie to sign for Real Madrid?
  20. Reading the article is it Rovers sponsoring AMC or the other way around?
  21. No worries neebs. Hope everything is ok
  22. I went on the updates and seen something about Buffy flashing her knickers which was a weird start. It looked like a long read in general(credit to the author for writing all that at pace) so decided not to go through it. Still waiting on @Piracy summary
  23. Im in croatia so wont be making it. Im looking forward to @Piracys summary though
