  1. Aye Nipper went and watched players on behalf of Crawford on a Saturday.
  2. It's the same for the Irish players as well. Over in Dublin for the game and that was a shocker. Ireland had more energy than us and wanted it more. At one point Robertson went for the ball in what looked like a 60/40 in his favour and still lost out which was the tone throughout. Duffy looked like a world beater when last season he was made to look like a donkey up against scottish premiership sides. The defence was horrendous. Gordon does manage to pull off decent saves but he's also a liability at international level and has a mistake in him(which I point out to jambo mates of mine all the time that hero worship the guy). Lastly, this is the second time I have went to Ireland away and I have seen thousands of Celtic tops(a Scottish club side). Absolute weirdos
  3. I thought the FA'S wanted it to encourage people to go to games rather than stream it. Is it also not the FAs blocking 3pm TV league games on a Saturday?
  4. What an idiot the lowland league chairman is. Why would the the league 2 clubs vote for automatic relegation? He should just admit they did it for the money
  5. I was wondering if it was going to be easy to renew but move my season ticket to another seat. It was a piece of **** tbh so the system seems to work well.
  6. I'm surprised at the SFA's stance on this. They very much set up the Lowland league then fought to get the playoff at the bottom of league 2 in place while trying to persuade loads of teams from the juniors to join leaving the SJFA. Now all of a sudden teams can buy places in the league.
  7. Seems it was voted narrowly through, I suspect the newer/ambitious teams voted against while the ones who have no chance at promotion and dont believe fully in the pyramid were against. Seems Civil service were against
  8. Season ticket money in the short term until cash flow runs out. Same as we did when we went into admin.
  9. I would be pretty worried reading that as a Falkirk fan. If they are saying at the start of the season they have cashflow concerns it sounds like it will be a hand to mouth existence. A couple of call offs of home games or a large HMRC bill could tip them over the edge
  10. Once again admitted into the Lowland league with Hearts this time joining the two Glasgow teams. Interesting additional entry into the article link below. "But in a new development, Football Scotland also understands that the SFA and SPFL have promised to conduct a review into the pyramid system. An announcement is expected later today, with clubs hopeful of reconstruction of the pyramid system as part of the remit of allowing the three clubs to enter the Lowland League next season." https://www.footballscotland.co.uk/spfl/scottish-premiership/celtic-rangers-hearts-admitted-lowland-24162368
  11. Wiki isn't gospel but it seems to match my recollection. I thought he played against east fife as a trialist too
  12. Always wanted us pinpoint him as I seen him as a weakness in Raiths defence. He should have also been sent off in the game against us at starks when he was already on a booking. So on that basis I'm not optimistic. Maybe with the right partner and the fact its league 1 he will do us a turn
  13. The same as every pre season tbh I'm sure season tickets will come out and we will sign players and the club will announce them in due course. When they do bring out STs I will buy one as usual. Tbh I lose interest in football generally during pre season so don't really feel "disconnected" and don't really check for announcements etc all the time or bother my arse when there's no news. Best signing we have had in recent years was cardle for the second time and he played as a trialist in a pre season game first. Signings will be made when the right ones come up hopefully.
  14. Defo same person then. They did rightly tell people it was gona be Grant though a week before it was announced apparently.
  15. Last time we got out of league 1 we appointed a manager who knew the league pretty well and had skooshed it previously. McPake doesn't know the league very well which isn't a good start. I'm hoping that with a completely new board and management team the place is freshened up a bit with some new energy snd positivity and we get the recruitment right. I wasn't happy with the appointment of Grant or Hughes but when appointed I was willing to give them a chance..same with McPake.
  16. Was telt by someone last week but didn't take notice of it. Then a friend was told by a club rep also on sat(probz the same person). 2/1 was also the price I seen at mcbookie when the market opened on Monday morning
  17. Been telt from 2 different people a preferred candidate who was identified before yogi officially left. However the club are going through a process so someone else being interviewed might blow it out the water and get it. So not 100% decided but its likely to be this person. Tbh though its pretty common that someone advertises a job and going into it sort of know who the might be after but open minded to others if they tick the right boxes. No point in posting who it is etc and tbh even though they seem like strong rumours (and came from 2 different sources around the club) I'm still going to take it as toun gossip until someone is appointed Edit - its also second hand info rather than me speaking directly to anyone which is why I'm still treating it as toun gossip
  18. I'm worried about our language and culture as someone who has planted here from other parts of the world I don't think you understand
  19. I think it's terrible. My identity has been ripped away from me by politicians overnight. Once a toonie always a toonie no matter how they brand the signs around my homeland.
