  1. Big game on Wed, the fact its a derby against the wee team is probably 2nd in everyone's minds. The outcome is the most important thing, collect 3 points and that will lift us off the bottom - anything less will see us firmly routed to the bottom. I'll try not mention our form, but the Rovers are sitting 4th with 10pts scoring 10 goals but notably conceding 8 with a GD of +2. The bookies odd's will probably not be in our favour but with two clean sheets and if we can get our strikers switched on there is a chance. Early kick off and its on the cooncil telly. I'm going to pull the couch away from the wall and hide 1-2 Rovers 😞
  2. Didn't think we played badly but there wasn't much of a spark either. The first half we were the better team, the 2nd just went flat for both sides that seemed not to want to take risks and played it safe. I don't think we created enough from middle to front, Dow was poor and Kennedy needs to look up more and not just run into one player after the next. Wighton had a great chance in the first but in truth I don't think there was great service to either of the strikers. However I was scratching my head at the substitutions - but I think Toderov had a knock. Defensively I was happy with the clean sheet - but OFW drives me to the point of despair when he punches the ball when its easier to catch. Overall the opportunity was lost today, I cant say I was as happy with that point as I was last week and the chance to make progress has flatlined. Two big games coming up at the San Starko and at Palmerston. I think PG must look to take at least 4pts from the next two or his career pathway may develop new options.
  3. Yep plan to be there Slainte Mhath πŸ₯ƒπŸΊπŸ‘πŸ˜œ
  4. Legends and more importantly Charlie D's will be open on Sat πŸ˜ƒπŸΊπŸ₯ƒ
  5. PG perhaps earned a reprieve from the executioners block on Sat, but if anything it was deserved. Even though playing at home against the form team in the championship a clean sheet and draw was well merited and given the balance of chances there was the opportunity to take the 3 points. Saturday welcomes Hamilton to EEP and there now exists the potential to leap frog them as they are in second bottom. Both Hamilton fans are in despair at their own teams form after being relegated last season and continuing to spiral down the Championship table. Slightly better than the Pars in 9th place they have earned 4pts with a draw against Raith and a win against QoS. However in the process along with ourselves they have a GD of -8, but they have conceded 14 goals in 6 games. The Pars own record despite last weeks well earned draw is still miserable but I feel there is growing optimism after Sat's game that there was progress and a corner to be turned - whether we oversteer or understeer off the corner in the process is yet to be seen. I think the players will have taken confidence from their last outing so I think a narrow 2-1 Pars win is on the cards. The scaffold for many remains in situ for now ......................... COYP
  6. Read this on another FB page, and yes its worth a read.
  7. Have to say I was behind the goal in the Norrie, and have said previously that the overall support from the crowd surprised me. I think there was a consensus that they wanted to get behind a team that was trying and I think the team responded positively to it. Had ICT scored - I suspect it may be have been quite different
  8. A stay of execution possibly, I thought he may last to the first round of games. However the next game at home is against Hamilton who are as bad as we are. A poor result may only postpone the inevitable
  9. Behave yerself Keyser, If anything that performance shows up the Grant's ineptitude as Manager. For once he played a system that suited the players on the park and for once he picked the right players in the right positions. If he could do that today it makes you think why couldn't he have done it earlier this season. His refusal to learn and stubbornness will be his let down
  10. Much better performance today. For many it still delays the inevitable, but overall I think most Pars fans would be reasonably happy with that given recent efforts. Didn't deserve to lose but with a game in the balance there is the possibility for it all to go sour. Defo deserved the draw at least and there was a chance we could have edged it as I thought we were slightly the better team but I cant complain. ICT have been the form team in the Championship and most were predicting a defeat so I'll take the draw. Overall I thought the team was more cohesive and Grant for once picked a team and a system that suited - there was a performance they could build on. MOM was the crowd - great support from the terrace and I think that made a difference to the players and reduced the nervousness. It may still delay the inevitable for Grant but at least I can enjoy my beer tonight. COYP

  13. I have some sympathy with this, there were times last season where I didn't think DT really gave anywhere 100%. Equally there were times where he ripped teams apart - but the consistency was never always there. He was always on my initial team sheet but after 60mins I would often be thinking - sub him. I suppose the reality is that we cant afford passengers and with DT you didn't always quite know what player was going to turn up. For a whole number of reasons players can have a crap game, its frustrating when it could be one of your best.
  14. Reading that article suggests to me that the board has already intervened. The pressure is now on Grant to match their expectations and those of the fans. We will see if he can turn it around but being pig headed about his game plan suggests to me that I think its too late.
  15. Will they conga on their way out? 🀣
  16. Don't mind getting a defeat as long as I see an improvement in performance. but given the current PG game plan I'm not hopeful.
  17. Must be poison pulling on a Pars shirt atm regardless of who the players are
  18. I wonder if we actually have a game of football at East End on Sat or is it going to be a blood bath with the only result that everyone allegedly wanting is the departure of PG as opposed to 3 points. In truth even if we did get the 3 points it only delays the inevitable in all probability. On a football perspective we couldn't have picked a more difficult opponent in ICT who have a 100% record with 5 wins in 5 games. In the process they have only scored 7 goals with Arbroath and Partick scoring more - but unlike the Pars their defence is watertight only losing 1 goal in 5 games. Their place at the top of the league is well deserved. The Pars are diametrically opposite. We sit at the bottom with 4 games played gaining one point against Morton in a 2-2 draw. Our only other goal was on Sat against Ayr Utd giving us a grand total of 3 goals. I think most Pars supporters will admit there are goals in the team but and in the last run out we had chances, but defensively we are dire - conceding 11goals in the process nearly averaging 3 a game. Its not a game where given our recent form you would want us to play atm at best I think only the optimistic would hope for a draw and that would still would leave us firmly anchored to bottom but perhaps the outcome may be more important than the result........... 19. A wee bit of something being called mass when its likely to be a handful and so called facts from a friend of a friend that heard down the pub. We all know its not right and we ain't happy but some individuals are bordering on the hysterical and need to get a grip before they have a medical incident
  20. Bloody sure I wont be walking out after 4 mins or any other time.
  21. A defeat and the message to the board will be abundantly clear, I just hope that players don't become the target of mindless venom. The Manager may go but the players wont and they are the ones pulling on the shirt and taking the field.
  22. Never heard that, I would doubt being an incumbent manager in the same division he would publicly say that - but happy to be proved wrong
  23. How do you know Campbell applied for it?
  24. Good job for the Vice Chairman, he would need substantial scaffolding to reinforce that table
