  1. I think McInnes could come if he felt we had potential, and could be serious title contenders. If the new board feel we are a middle of the league team then no chance it all depends on the ambition the board wants for the club
  2. Indeed, our season starts this weekend
  3. will be heading up there pre match 🍺
  4. I'm not a fan of Miller becoming manager. However a "robust" interview process should determine the club will interview individuals even though from a personal basis we wouldn't like them to - especially if the meet the criteria set by the club. I read in the gossip somewhere that Petrie has not been interviewed because he didn't apply and rightly so. If a candidate hasn't applied I would suspect their motivation to join the Pars however I do hope that isn't the case.
  5. No, a new manager should be in place for the ICT game the following week - imagine Robbo leading the team out at ICT 🤣
  6. Very sad but inevitable news sadly, I can only offer my eternal gratitude for being part of the driving force for saving my club and wish him and his family all the very best for the future. A gentleman who has conducted himself with dignity and has earned my respect. Thank you. COYP
  7. Aye thats right got it mixed up - Just wakened from night duty lol
  8. Joel Sked is on "A view from the terrace" and is a Rovers fan, but he has absolutely nailed it
  9. The “season starts” this weekend and following the departure of Peter Grant we can hopefully look forward to the remainder of the season with slight confidence under the prospect of a new manager. Morton are the visitors to EEP and hopefully our first win of the season may bring us the possibility of stepping off the bottom rung into the heady heights of 9th place. Perhaps if the planets converge there is even an outside chance of taking 8th place – unthinkable after the Arbroath game. Morton sit 9th and their form is as equally bad as our own. Over the past 5 games they have managed 4pts from 4 draws. The Pars form as you would expect is slightly worse with only 3pts from 3 draws in the past 5 games. Overall Morton have managed a single win giving them a total of 9pts as opposed to the Pars total of 7pts. The last encounter at Capilow was a heady 2-2 draw with the Ton equalizing in the 81st minute. The Pars goals came from Toderov and O’Hara. This Saturday’s bottom of the table clash for a managerless Pars gives us a real opportunity to kick off our season. Optimism suggests a 2-1 Pars win and 9th spot – Hopefully. COYP.
  10. Went with Robbo in the end who did a great job at ICT Other possibles for me McInness: Would love him but he would be too much of a premium, but I do think he would be attracted to a club that had potential McIntyre: Has more experience did very well with us but was shafted by the previous board. I think he could do well 2nd time around McCann: Apart from Dundee he did brilliantly with ICT last season in turning them around Petrie: All his experience is a lower level and with part time clubs that isn't what we need atm. If we were in a stronger position then yes but we dont have the time. Mind you look at what Tam Court has done with Dundee Utd! Yogi: To easy to underestimate, he will know what's needed and what to do but his tenure with Raith discourages me Rusty: Similar to Petrie I feel, but has done incredibly well at Stirling. we would need the club to be in a stronger position to take the chance McCall: Knows this club inside and out and the league. Huge experience at this level. I think he is desperate to have a crack at the SPL and heading to EEP for a 3rd time could give him that platform. However the compensation to Partick would probably kill it
  11. Or what has been leaked............................... Anyone heading to the pub later? 🤣
  12. While your opinion counts I think the new manager will determine his background team. His opinion counts more - whoever it is
  13. My best prediction over the weekend lol.............🤣
  14. My concern is that whoever is the manager, im not certain that he will get the full support from the terrace. Everyone seems to have their likes and dislikes and for me despite obvious names being mentioned such as Robbo, Petrie, Yogi, The Bunnet etc there doesn't seem to a clear stand out favorite. I do hope who ever gets the post that Pars fans will get behind him and the team
  15. TF we can now move forward and hopefully up the table. Also gives the new manager the opportunity to assess the squad before the Jan transfer window.
  16. I can understand the frustration but when it gets ugly like this its not something to be proud of. The club really need to reflect if this should continue because I can only see more of the same. Im hoping everyone gets home a Police cell in Dundee for the weekend isnt ideal.
  17. I believe there is a large Police presence at Gayfield where there is a host of frustrated Pars fans
  18. 4-2 Arbroath Pen. Grant has to go is the only thing i can take from this match
  19. 3-2 Arbroath ☹️ Done in by the Arbroath Dustbin man lol
  20. Just said on RS our last away win was 24th Oct 21 Not won away in a year!
