Footballing Pet Hates

I agree, and hate that fans abuse a player, but get all precious and greet like babies when he responds with the V's or wrist shuffles back.  Doesn't matter if its a home player, an away player, member of the club staff.  Man up and grow a pair.  Don't dish out what you cant take.

Also a general observation about the sanitation of football now and the way football fans are compared to rugby fans (OO Murryfield has a great atmosphere and the fans are soo jovial and pleasant to each other, lets all have fun and not care about the result). T

Guess what, we do care and we arn't purposley there to make friends with opponents (although i won't go out my way to be a dick to them).

The big games at Hampden a poorly laid out stadium are still far superior to a rugby game at Murryfield any day of the week

Basically this isn't rugby so f@ck off

Has "the crossbar/post came to the rescue" been done yet? Because clearly it didn't. The post doesn't stop goals for fudd sake.

Also calling it the 'woodwork'. I doubt they've been made of wood since the 1980s.

Not sure I agree, but what annoys me is the way the authorities view football fans and rugby fans. To them you can’t actually be both, and football fans are utter criminals just itching to cause trouble and spend the whole matchday looking to do so. Rugby fans however are fine and the authorities see them as posing no threat at all. You can have a rugby match at a football ground one night and have a beer, but the very next day you could have a football match at the exact same ground and have increased stewarding and police and not even dare to consider selling beer. This used to happen often when Glasgow Warriors shared Firhill. I bet quite a few fans went to both games, yet the authorities can’t comprehend that. Rugby fans are allowed to drink alcohol on a bus they’ve hired, but football fans can’t and often get a police escort. Absolutely laughable and such a waste of resources.
