What an absolute diddy nation we are, jumping on the bandwagon of a victory over England in a sport that about 10 countries in the world play.

"Whae's like us?!" we say. Pretty much everyone, some guid ****s and some bad ****s.

Who's jumping on the bandwagon? It's a notable achievement, that's all.

Imagine people being happy that there country beat the current ranked number 1 team in the world.

Similar to when Andy Murray done well at tennis, people take a interest in success in Scottish sport, even when they don't follow fully.

Given that there are towns and villages up and down the country with cricket teams competing in leagues, it is a bit of a (weegie?) media myth that no one cares about cricket in Scotland. In fact was there not a Fife team won a British tournament in the 80s?

I don’t see the problem with acknowledging a great achievement (which no amount of twats on Facebook changes).

Aye, Freuchie won the national village championship at Lords in 1985.
