  1. Celtic and Kilmarnock? Have sections I believe, but pretty small. Its not a legal issue up here, more a cost one.
  2. There are certainly fanbases(ok, mainly falkirk) angry at their clubs apparently spending money on unneeded staff. Personally currently I wonder how much money our current structure is costing us. It doesn't take much for even a well payed(for our level) off field staff to easily pay for itself. I put our current failing at potentially up to £1milion for this seasons mismanagement, I would think our new CEO will be lucky to earn 10% of that.
  3. I don't want to take away from looking at the problems at our youth system as there is clearly issues to address, but we will inevitably lose out on youth players to the bigger clubs, just as we do at first team level, they will massively outspend us, and whilst that's not directly on wages to the player will still have a big impact.
  4. He's been poor whenever he's played this season. Last season he was comfortably our best midfielder and would be again on that form, hope he can get over whatever's holding him back and help drag us to safety.
  5. I’m aware some in the boardroom had problems with passionate loyal fans that day. People went absolutely off their head because they saw the deep deep harm being caused to the club they love. The fact those in charge chose to see them as the problem other than than those causing that harm doesn’t mean that the fans voicing their discontent were at fault. Edit- let’s be absolutely clear here the fans of this club are worth infinitely more than ‘inventors’ that turned up 10 minutes ago.
  6. It’s utterly incredible given the number of center backs signed we can’t (or rather won’t in vytas case) put 2 decent ones on the pitch come match day.
  7. Good signing, slight concern that his attitude was apparently his reason for leaving Motherwell but given our situation and his ability it’s a gamble worth taking
  8. There were no issues in the stands at the first arboath game. Only on the pitch. There's been alot of anger this season and most if it was entirely justified. There's a handful of individuals who hopefully have been found by police but 99% of what's gone on would have been exactly what would have happened at any football club. Players might not want to come to a struggling team, but those that do aren't going to be put off cos fans might have a go at them
  9. That job seems to have been given to Allan, someone who has a lot to learn but does have more defensive instincts over most of our midfield. If this is the formation/selection we’re pursuing it would be interesting to swap them. Generally what would people call our system ATM? At a basic level it’s 4-4-1-1 but I feel that’s to simplistic to actually describe how the players interact. Todd naturally comes central as that’s his preferred role, Dow drifts looking for the ball, Dorrans drops deep, Wighton sometimes at 10 sometimes further up. I find it hard to pin the midfield down. Which is absolutely fantastic when it clicks cos it gives opponents nightmares, but when it’s not clicking I wonder if going back to basics would be beneficial? You take Arbroath today for example, other then nouble who looks to have the game intelligence to be exactly where’s he’s needed you could be comfortably predict where everyone would be in a given situation.
  10. They are, and we have no chance of bringing them in.
  11. You need to go round his house, he’s not at the game
  12. Where are you seeing the Ayr game called off? Don’t see it in the obvious places.
  13. Sometimes it’s worth putting up with arseholes if they win you games
  14. If Dundee are that keen to get rid of Cummings he could be affordable in a loan deal. He’s a bampot that managers inevitably get fed up of and then it looks like mcpake might have reached that point, however he’s a very talented player and can slot well into the number 10 role yogi seems to want to fill. If he’s to play as an outright striker it doesn’t make much sense given the options we have there. Taylor Sinclair is a good player for this level and would likely be an improvement on Edwards, his time out is a bit of a worry tho.
  15. update If only I had waited a few minutes.🤣 Can't disagree with that in the slightest. I can now direct my anger at those clubs who thought locking out their loyalist fans was a good idea.
  16. Quite angry at the decision to play on, its a slap in the face of fans who clubs have spent 3 years begging for money from(some would argue more, but only counting the COVID seasons) I'll wait on an official response but if we are in anyway supportive I can see this being the straw that causes me to cancel my lifeline payments. I've been close a few times this season but I simply can't donate money every month if we are having the **** taken out of us and once again expected to suck it up after being shortchanged on our season tickets.
  17. Your not paying for 2 season tickets, your paying for one via tax and then paying for a chance to skip the turnstile queue. The private healthcare system massively relies on the NHS, punting a lot of the costly stuff on. Anyway, if you have large sums of cash available to yourself personally allowing queue skipping and others are struggling then it suggests the requirement to fund the system far better, and if taxing those who can afford the luxuries is a way to do that then that’s the path we should follow.
  18. Don’t see a point in playing games behind closed doors or reduced capacity. If we can’t do what we’ve been doing all season postpone games. Overall Gov can’t keep up this BS of telling people not to use business and not doing anything about compensation for those business. Different for the English clubs for who TV matters more.
  19. I wonder how many pros are truly two footed, I suspect very few. They're will be a good amount whose stats will be fairly even for short passes etc. But I suspect there would be a big difference once you look at long passes, goals scored , dead ball use etc. I looked up messi's goals a while ago and IIRC he scores about 70% of his goals with his left foot, with his right foot not being that far in front of headers.
  20. You should have a base level of competence with both feet. However even the best in the world use one significantly more than the other.
  21. A fit Martin walks into this team, he’s probably a fair bit away. But he’s so far in front of Edwards in particular in outright ability and has a very strong case for other positions.
  22. Not sure this can be seen as a win, More a least loss. We’ll see still find it difficulties signing non-uk players at out our budget
  23. There was so much going on that even if the most informed were keeping a daily diary the full details would be hard to put together. At the time I was trying to keep intune as much as I could and I don't think I scratched the surface.
  24. Interesting to note Todd has been the main midfielder instructed to drop into the fullback position when the fullback bombs on(tho more on the left than right), I think he is trusted to do some of the more defensive work. Todd was also at times played on the right under Crawford. At its simplest thomas can not be replaced, we need to find a different system that offers as much attacking threat. 2 up front probably does that. If we go 2 up I'd expect o'hara to be part of that, his pace and workrate means he can offer something defensively. If McCann keeps his spot or it goes to wighton/ todorov I'm not sure.
  25. Big worry, He's been comfortably our best player.
