  1. Clyde have terminated his loan. The lack of ability from both clubs to read the room throughout is astounding.
  2. Hope so, I am reluctant to disagree with a positive scheme for PATG(an outdated term now but **** it) just because I don't benefit. However I am of the opinion the club have left season ticket holders out for a while now. Over Covid we have payed for games that didn't happen, payed more than casual customers for a season of streams and been locked out of home games this season with little communication from the club. McArthur did mention his appreciation on point 1, but we have seen nothing on points 2 and 3. Its one thing to be proud of our loyal fanbase, quite another when that loyalty becomes expected.
  3. I don’t think he’ll have a choice in that.
  4. Enough positives for me, yes we need wins but that was 1 of the 3 toughest games for us from the run in to get one. Take the point and work towards getting those wins. Thomas wasn't quite at his best but showed more than enough to be starting games again, he can be the man to add the extra bit of creativity to get us those.
  5. Lafferty has done the same his whole career. Pleasing to seem him hobble off. On the Donaldson incident, I felt his challenge was worth a yellow in itself, completely reckless when he had no chance of winning the ball, understandably Donaldson was annoyed about it and gave him a bit of a nudge. Lafferty then acted the f***y he is. Discussion at the time was the ref would have taken the ****ebag stereotypical decision to book both players but chose a telling off for both as that would mean sending Donaldson off due to already giving him a completely laughable booking. Annoys me that whenever there's a flare up between players refs don't use any judgement on who is the aggressor and treat both parties equally so long as nobody commits violent conduct.
  6. Agreed, Some will look down at queens gaining on us as a negative, but I prefer to look up and see 8th that little bit closer.
  7. TBF last 6 has often been used as a form guide, tho why it was picked I have little idea. 8th is achievable, but I’m beginning to accept that the hard route of winning the play-offs might be how we need to do it. It’s a tough one to approach psychologically, part of me says 8th or bust but that can end up with us not achieving it and going into the play-offs with a defeatist mindset. On the other hand, we accept play-offs and miss out on opportunities for 8th. I think it’s likely cruicial the cliche one game at a time comes in, also focusing on ourselves, we as fans have been a bit knocked with the results happening elsewhere when we haven’t been playing. I hope hughes etc can manage those emotions on the training pitch, there’s no doubt the players will have been aware of the results but putting them to the back of their minds will be handy. On the play-offs they haven’t been our friend, but positively 9th does rather well in this situation
  8. It really is utterly terrible. On the (some) away fan bans. I wonder if the club have tried to appeal this. Have any other licenced premises been asked to do the same, any other pub told they can't serve customers based on their preferred sports club? Do the local golf clubs only serve their own members? I think we know the answers, yet we(as fans and as a business) are being treated differently. We should be kicking up a hell of a lot of fuss over this.
  9. Not involved in any supporters club so not privy to any of the conversations outside of here so maybe not picking things up right. Is it being suggested that the club may be assisting police Scotland in their ridiculous attempts to use an outdated law to attack football fans?
  10. I'm probably more pessimistic than most but i genuinely think that is a dangerous attitude. Fight for everything and then hope your talent gets a chance to shine. Nothing is given.
  11. We are still in the ****. I'm happy with recent results and performances since the Morton game, but there's absolutely no doubt we must continue to fight for every single point.
  12. Certainly a focus on mental health for Griffiths. Large scale him being equipped with what he needs for the next 40 odd years in life is worth far more than what he can do on a football pitch in the next 2 or 3.
  13. Sim is certainly out of touch sanctioning this, but he can't be excused by his location. 2 directors tried to tell him, they were ignored and subsequently resigned. The other 4( or 3 + sim) should be shamed immediately. Question is how can rovers run without Sim. McGlynn was rightly highly thought of as a rovers legend 10 days ago, he has a lot of leeway but has burned through all of that and his refusal to handle the situation can't end well for him.
  14. Yes, I wouldn't have him so far out of things than yogi has. But when he's not being put on a 9 man bench the idea of him starting is a bit wild. But managers do often so weird and surprising things.
  15. Theory behind it is there is more pressure on these kicks, therefore you want your best takers on them, Not sure on the ruling but I'm sure teams have moved there taker up if it becomes clear that there will be a potential winning kick earlier in the shootout. Maybe some refs won't allow a change in order when some will.
  16. Its a positive that we now think about our words in a wider context. We have seen huge progression in gay rights over my lifetime, but we still used gay as an insult for just about anything at school. Its use was just about constant, delightfully I rarely hear it used in that manor anymore.
  17. Aye, dropping McCann means a complete change in system, unless it’s the out of the picture todorov that comes in for him.
  18. Shirt rules at major tournaments are really strict for football.
  19. Dave Cook was chairman of Notts forest women and talked positively about integrating them into the club and getting good crowds in(4000 for one game, that would be equivalent pars ladies getting nearly 1000 at east end) when leaving him on leaving forest If he does similar here I'd be delighted.
  20. The level was different certainly, mainly due to the level of the clubs, playing PT vs FT will attract more comment, regardless that he was earning a very good PT wage and is now meant to be earning a decent, but not incredible FT one. The nature of things are generally that topic begins to get traction the pressure becomes bigger and higher profile people become involved. Lastly I think Clyde signed him not too long after the civil verdict and his Blackburn release, i think that gave him/them more leeway. There was consideration that the case going against him, the dramatic drop in level would give the chance for remorse.
  21. There’s rightful indignation against the move, and I can’t blame the FM using this to promote women’s rights. But this isn’t something to legislate over, either from footballing or government bodies, It’s up for her to run a justice system correctly that rapists don’t walk around without facing justice(and generally put good preventive measures(clear discussion on concent etc) so they don’t commit their awful crimes in the first place. Once those have failed it’s up to each individual employer over their policies.
  22. TBF, There’s a back 3 and there’s Peter grants back 3, they are not the same thing.
  23. I believe the finances at rovers are a bit all over the place, running through a various companies. Unless things have changed significantly over the last few years once you work your way through that it boils down to them being totally reliant on John Sim. Sim owns starks park and I believe the majority of the 'friends of the club' debt is basically him not charging rovers for the rent that is due to him. Many will be unhappy with the situation, but you can almost guarantee he has approved this.
  24. Good performance, especially first half. A better side might have got a goal against us in the 2nd but whilst we weren’t up to the same standards when thing did go wrong we nearly always had bodies around the ball to make things difficult for queens. Dorrans at 10 was a big improvement from when he’s been deeper Happy with chalmers performance, kamwa didn’t really have long enough to make a judgement on.
  25. Grant should never, ever be used as a standard to judge by, he was such a pathetic failure you can make anything look good against him. Agreed, I've never seen too much wrong with gaspuitus, not the most technical players but he always seemed sold. Playing every week almost certainly would have given him more reason to stay.
