It’s very similar to the Rangers situation. That was only prevented by fans putting huge pressure on their Clubs. Hopefully the same happens here.

I’d have Gowser back for pre-season. Rarely gave the ball away but clearly not as fit as he would like post injury. Might be different with a full pre-season under his belt. Guess it depends who else is available in that position.

Presuming that the Pars will vote against the creation of a Conference League and the inclusion of B teams within it? Or at least canvas fans for our views that I would imagine would be overwhelmingly for ‘No’.

Hoping that McPake finds a place for him in the starting 11 on Saturday. Or failing that ensures he gets a good run out off the bench. Given his last touch of the hall was the opener at Peterhead it’s seems a bit harsh he has never got on the pitch since. Especially in the QOS game. Given he may not be here next season it would be good to see him get a big reception given all his important goals this season. May need his height in the team anyway with no Bene or Breen!

I’d defo keep Mehmet, Comrie and Breen. Possibly MacDonald and Todorove but not sure they would be happy with but part role. prob move on O’Hara.

Him and O’Hara formed a very good partnership at that time. At the top end of the Championship. Always felt improving strikers was one of the Craws great strengths.

Hopefully we are in line for a bumper crowd on Saturday. It will be interesting to see if the Club come up with a decent PR/Marketing campaign to help shift tickets. It would be great to see the NE or even the East Stand opened for Pars fans as it would help generate a bit of atmosphere at that end of the ground. NW already looking like it has limited seats left. Based on attendances this season and the home crowd against F*lkirk in particular there isn’t any reason we shouldn’t see 7k+….

Maybe they could open the North East for this game? feels a bit OTT but not unexpected. Given what normally gets chucked on at Easter Road etc why only is closing bits of the ground?

It’s a crazy gamble. It’s not like the Championship is that big a financial prize. In theory if they went up and we didn’t and Dundee Utd didn’t get relegated then there aren’t really any money spinning games for them. Even with those games it doesn’t wipe out that loss. Beating Ayr will be huge for them if they then get one of the OF.

Surely going to have to open the North East for home fans?

Not sure I’d bother with USH. If it’s postponed it can easily be played later in the season, not like we have a backlog of fixtures. Might even get a better crowd.

There was a really good Heritage Trust interview with Mark Smith at EEP a few years ago.

If United were thinking about recalling him and sending him elsewhere then would they have let him play in the Scottish Cup? Also if they are serious about him developing they would leave him at East End as I struggle to see a more ideal place for him.

Biggest thing for me is the players look like they care and that they actually want to be here. They are giving everything. That may be the least we are entitled to expect but it’s clearly not what we’ve seen in recent years.
