Not including the Alte Herren ("old men"), futsal or youth teams St. Pauli have seven senior teams, the second team play in the Regionalliga Nord which is a decent standard. The third team play in the Hamburg Bezirksliga and the German Bezirksligas are on a par with Scottish League Two at best. I think if the thirds have a promising player who isn't quite ready to step up to Regionalliga Nord then we could be a useful stop gap, the player gets valuable experience and we fill out the squad with a decent player or two. 2 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I've said it before and I'll say it again it's time for the German Investors to actually back the manager, put their hands in their large pockets and give him the players he needs to get us out of this Micky Mouse League that fundamentally is their fault due to p!sh poor managerial appointments, delays in correcting those decisions and the lack of negotiations to retain the better players we had towards the end of last season. 3 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I think it's more likely that we'll get a couple of loan players after the window shuts and the Premier League teams have their squads sorted out. You would imagine the players we are trying to get on loan from the premiership will also have offers from the championship. We are not attractive to players.
