All I said was I don't let it bother me any more as it's not worth my headspace and I'm much happier for it, I wasn't criticising him for it. Seems I touched a nerve that I wasn't even reaching for. da_no_1
Everyone's disappointed with how the season is unfolding. Have to say i agree tho. It just doesn't seem to bother me as it used to. A ****e result used to ruin my weekend. I couldn't even face MOTD on a Saturday night. Now it's put to bed almost straight away. Maybe cos I'm 52 and almost grown up......! Roll on Saturday.

Grant
It bothers me, not in the sense that I'll be raging on a Sunday. More that come the following Saturday it just doesn't look nearly as appealing and I'll just feel a bit apathetic about going. Away days have bore the brunt of that. I doubt I'll go to many, if any more until the rest of the season. The season ticket means I'll be there tomorrow but I can't say I'm particularly excited for it. Wouldn't blame anyone who's swithering, looking outside and the rain and wind is going tonto, the six nations is on, and you'll be £21 better of. Cannae blame anyone for not fancying it. scottyboy
A defeat never bothers me, unless it the Skol Cup Final v Hibs. Never went to another final after that . I probably get bored more, if its a **** game 😆 Anyhoo lets hope we get 3 points Saturday, fast paced, end to end, a barrow load of goals , 1 2s, a sending off and a Stephens bridie with some filling in it. 1

Now, like Digs, I think there are more important things in life, in spite of the legendary Bill Shankly's famous quote.

Makes me wonder are we now conditioned to indifference and just accept crap? Don’t get me wrong the performance was disgusting but it just didn’t hurt me like I think it should have. the saline hill puma
I'm glad I missed last week's game. Means I'm sort of looking forward to heading along to the game. In saying that I might just watch it on Pars TV (muted) in the pub if it's ****ing down.

Six nations being on is reason enough for me to go to the fitba. I'd rather watch the Morton game again than watch that 🤣
Andycarp
Score prediction Dunfermline 0 Weather 1. Issues for years because we never spend money on the pitch or the undersoil heating. Frost or heavy rain does it every time.

In truth i don't think the pitch will freeze, but with the recent rain and the state of the pitch from last weekend Im concerned it may be susceptible to flooding. Can't argue with that, scotty. Bill Shankly's quote was perhaps said in jest though, given the intensity of the man, you can't be certain. Clough's quote is indisputable, but I would suggest you need the players to play that way. Man City are arguably the only team in Britain who would win his approval right now. By way of explanation, Clough added that football should be played on the ground, not in the sky.
Eastendtales
Had no idea my comment would spark a debate. FWIW, I don't let defeats get the better of me for more than that evening at worst anymore. I'm 37, but when I was in my late teens and early 20s I used to let it get to me quite bad. That 8 1 scudding at home from Celtic? Smashed in a light switch and the bathroom wall when I still stayed at my childhood home. Next day wasn't much fun getting a bollocking on top of the hangover. I can't help feeling scunnered to watch now though. As most of you know, I watch from abroad. The past 35 years my weekend has been geared towards our game on a Saturday. Even over here, I'm moving plans and stressing out at missing seeing the game from the sofa at home. On my own, with no social aspect around it. I've moved Saturday plans with my wife to accommodate getting home to watch the games to which she's been very patient. I'd say I maybe see 75% of games each season. Between VPN issues and awful ParsTV connection this season I've not even had that. The last game I enjoyed watching was when we scudded QOTS 5 0 to seal the league. This season I've not enjoyed a single game. Not one, not fully. I'm happy when we win and I'd happily take season after season of grinding out results like last year but it wasn't pretty. The football has been brutal the majority of the time, really awful stuff. We're staring at another relegation if form doesn't change around immediately. That's bad management from top to bottom and completely unacceptable, injuries or not this season. I've backed the structure and the personnel until the Morton game. Now I find myself questioning everyone and everyone. I've had some personal issues to deal with and normally the football is a welcome distraction. But given the circumstances, its another fcking stress at least for 90 minutes and I could be doing without that right now. I've stuck through thick and thin before and I'll continue to but if right now I simply CBA to watch tomorrow's game, that's what I'll do. There's a wee thing called Karnival for the next 4 days and I've planned to go enjoy it tomorrow with some good company. I'll 100% keep an eye on livescore but until improvement is made, I'm not wasting my time working around it anymore.
