Dundee announced a squad update and although Mcmullan is released, nothing has been said about fisher. Maybe he’s been offered a new deal?

They also said they can't get a hold of Paul McGowan to announce his future. 🫣

Think he knows he's going too. Talk about an amateurish statement.

Snodgrass is 36 this year. I don't see any advantage regarding risking a good wage on a player entering the absolute twighlight of his career.

We also seem to have a good dressing room and don't want players like Snodgrass disrupting it.

This is what I said when his name was first mentioned when he left Hearts. From the jambos I know, he was a less than inspiring team mate, talking down to young players, falling out with people etc. Not the type of player we need in our close team.

For balance, he's played 600+ games, for 10 different clubs, plus 28 caps for Scotland - and I don't recall him having a career littered with controversy and fall outs.

I'm not saying we should sign him, but if McPake does, I think we could be encouraged by it.

Dorrans didn't work but Whittaker did reasonably well - and Charlie Adam did OK at Dundee - so the older players dropping down for a last hoorah in their mid-30s isn't necessarily a recipe for disaster.

At the very start of his career at Livi, that's all he had. He was the bam from Wester Hailes who was never out the papers. Thankfully for him, he seemed to grow up.

As I said, I'm only going by what I was told by jambo mates of mine. They could be wildly inaccurate, so I'm happy that McPake takes a stern view of the sort of things he was accused of, particularly where it pertained to younger players. I'm convinced that he wouldn't sign him if he knew of any that stuff to be true. Scottish football is a very small pond though, so if it is, he will know about it and I don't think he'd sign him.

He said something similar when asked about Griffiths. Aye, he's his mate but he's not going to bring someone into the group if he thought it's not going to mix well with what he has already no matter who it is.

I'll take your word for it re his actions when he was at Livingston as I don't remember .  He is from the East End of Glasgow rather than Wester Hailes though.

It obviously didn't end well at Hearts when Naismith axed him, but he seemed to play in the Premier League and Championship down south for years without developing some sort of reputation as a disruptor.

All I am saying is that if McPake signs him, I'll reserve judgement rather than proclaim it as a disaster waiting to happen.
